Open `Plates` from the exercise card or weight picker.
Check the top area for weight, barbell, and gym profile.
Change barbell from the quick chips if needed.
Read `Per side` and load the same plates on both sides.
Tap `Apply` to save the effective weight to the set.
The calculator should make the inventory context visible immediately. If a gym is active for FitLog Pro GPT and you have not selected another gym for the workout session yet, that gym becomes the practical context for the calculator too.
The `Configure available plates` section stays collapsed during normal calculation. Open it only when you need to update the gym inventory or exclude plates you cannot find that day.
If the answer is not here, contact support with device, platform, a clear problem description, and ideally a screenshot.

Warm-up sets help prepare the main work, but they should still be reviewed and adjusted to the actual load of the day.
