Open Profile > Settings > Workout.
Choose whether the default input means one dumbbell or the combined weight of all dumbbells used.
From that point on, compatible dumbbell exercises follow the convention you selected.
Not every dumbbell exercise uses two implements together. FitLog Pro stores whether it uses one, two together, or two alternating, and whether reps are total or per side.
For cable or rope movements, such as a hammer curl rope, use `Total load input` if you see the dumbbell badge: FitLog Pro saves that choice for the exercise identity, so other templates using the same exercise stay consistent.
Tap the control in the `Sets` header. Choose the resolved global default, `Per dumbbell input`, or `Total load input`.
For a custom exercise using `Dumbbells`, choose how the dumbbells move and how reps are counted. FitLog Pro saves both choices with the exercise.
If the answer is not here, contact support with device, platform, a clear problem description, and ideally a screenshot.

A useful training log starts with a few well-chosen fields. Use TUT and the metronome when you also want to control rep timing.
Analytics brings Progress, Balance, and Load into one page; History remains the place to review individual sessions.
Advanced techniques are real parts of the product, but they help most when they improve the workout instead of simply making the log harder to read.
