Set your default rest time in Profile > Settings > Workout if you reuse similar recoveries often.
During an active workout, start the timer between sets, not only after the session.
If you log RPE 10 and tap `Apply` on the recovery suggestion, FitLog Pro adds 30 seconds to the automatic timer that just started. With automatic timer start disabled, it increases the planned rest for the next set instead.
If you train without looking at the screen much, keep sound or haptic feedback enabled.
The rest timer uses the finish sound selected in settings; it no longer plays an intermediate 10-second cue or a 5-to-1 countdown.
On iPhone, the timer can remain visible outside the app through Live Activities when notifications and system settings allow it.
The card separates the target from the actual result. For example, it shows `Target 90kg × 5-7 reps` and `Log 7 reps`. The number next to `Log` is what the green check will save.
To complete the set, tap the circular check at the bottom right. If you performed a different number, tap `Log ... reps` and correct it with − or + before confirming. For a range, the initial value starts at the high end, but you can still log a result outside the range.
The card uses a static exercise thumbnail when one is available. If the image is missing or not ready yet, the dumbbell fallback remains visible.
During drop sets and rest-pause work, the Live Activity shows the exercise name, `DS` or `RP` badge, current phase, total phases, weight, and reps. The check completes only that phase; rest-pause then starts the configured short rest before the next phase.
RPE appears only when it is enabled in global settings and is not requested for warm-up sets. Tap one of the large 6-10 areas to save effort immediately and start the rest timer.
If the answer is not here, contact support with device, platform, a clear problem description, and ideally a screenshot.

Useful follow-up reads that complete the same flow without sending you into internal documentation.
The real in-app flow: start from the simplified Home, use `Free Workout` or a template, add exercises, and finish without polluting history or analytics.
Advanced techniques are real parts of the product, but they help most when they improve the workout instead of simply making the log harder to read.
Health sync mainly connects workouts and body measurements with data that already exists on your phone. It does not replace workout logging.
When you tap an RPE value, the selected cell immediately shows a check while FitLog Pro finishes saving it and starts the rest timer.
Use `Skip RPE` when you do not want to log effort: the set is completed with RPE left empty, without saving an artificial value.
When you tap `Skip` during rest, the card immediately shows that the next set is being prepared; FitLog Pro then reconciles the workout in the background.
Live Activities remain controlled by iOS, so final confirmation may follow the immediate visual feedback when the system is limiting background work.
If you leave the phone awake between sets, keep screen awake may help too. Use it only if it genuinely makes the session smoother.
