When you start the same template again, FitLog compares completed sessions from that template. Calculation runs on device with deterministic rules: the same history produces the same result and no daily AI call is required.
With consistent exact reps, FitLog can increase load after you complete the target. With a consistent rep range, it raises reps first; after every working set reaches the top, it raises load and restarts from the range minimum.
Expand the exercise in your workout. `Next target ready` appears only when load or reps truly changed.
Tap `Why` to read the reason based on completed sessions.
Tap `Correct` to use the normal workout editor and adapt the target for today.
Tap `Restore` to recover the exact original template target. Warm-up and technique sets stay unchanged.
In the RPE suggestion shown during a set, tap `Correct` when the proposed load does not match an available dumbbell or machine step, then choose the right value before applying it.
Open Templates > Library and edit the routine.
In the exercise set section, turn off `Automatic progression`.
Save the template. FitLog will keep that exercise's targets unchanged in future sessions.
If the answer is not here, contact support with device, platform, a clear problem description, and ideally a screenshot.
Your feedback helps us improve guides for all users.
Useful follow-up reads that complete the same flow without sending you into internal documentation.
The Templates area is not a single list. `Library`, `Exercises`, and `Store` serve different jobs, and understanding that makes the app easier to navigate.
A useful training log starts with a few well-chosen fields. Use TUT and the metronome when you also want to control rep timing.
Start from a ready-made profile, describe barbells, dumbbells, plates, gym quantity, and rounding, or import a community gym.
Create or transform routines into reusable templates with profile context, equipment, progression, and review before confirmation.
